Curate Your Environment
And take control of your habits...
Success does not happen in a vacuum, it doesn’t happen by accident, and it doesn’t happen as the lone wolf. The stories of those “Self-made” are at best dishonest. It may have seemed like they had to do things alone, and maybe a lot of work was.
But somewhere along the line, someone opened a door, made a connection, or picked up the phone.
The physical environment you preside in absolutely can have an effect on your productivity. I’m someone who is very influenced by my physical surroundings when it comes to work. So I do my best to set up my physical workspace to allow for the highest productivity.
Your mental environment and your spiritual environment all have roles that they play in your success, or lack thereof.
You have the ability to curate and control this. Who you spend time with matters. What you think and speak to yourself matters. How you spend your alone time matters. What you consume and engage with online matters.
If you set up all three of these environments; physical, mental, and spiritual for success, you are making it much easier on yourself to do so. You won’t have to feel like you’re running into a constant headwind.
Best,
Ross
